Overview

A project item is one distinct object inside a project. It has its own overall dimensions, material, material thickness, cutting method, finger sizing, and parts. For example, a cabinet project might include one project item for the cabinet body and separate project items for each drawer. A chair project might include one project item for the chair and another for a matching foot stool.

Use project items when related objects belong together in the same project but need their own settings. This is helpful when items use different materials, different thicknesses, or different cutting workflows. For now, project items are independent from one another: they do not intersect, cut into, join with, or automatically affect other project items. If two project items appear near each other in the same project, they are organized together, but they are not physically connected by GCrafter.
